Using lectures, readings, documentaries, and art works, your task to to create a digital history explainer on War and Remembrance in Ukraine.
Using Google Sites (and other digital history tools), your aim is to create an creative, engaging, and informative exhibit explaining war and memory to general college-educated audience. Your aim is not only to tell the story but also to show it using multimedia documentary sources. Respond to the following:
1. Basic facts about the war: What is current war about? -- include basic geographical, historical, and political contexts.
2. How was Russia used history and eliminationist rhetoric (from its imperial/Soviet past, WWII myth of the victorious Patriotic War against fascism/Nazism) to frame and justify its aggressive colonial war against Ukraine?
3. How and why have Ukrainians and others sought to record, document, catalog, and preserve truthful memory of the war?
4. Show how Ukrainians (and others) have used cultural works to resist the Russian war (See additional sources linked below).
