Disability Rights California (DRC) is the agency designated under federal law to protect and advocate for the rights of Californians with disabilities. Work in litigation, legal representation, advocacy services, investigations, public policy, and provide information, advice, referral, and community outreach.

The Disability History Museum's mission is to foster a deeper understanding about how changing cultural values, notions of identity, laws and policies have shaped and influenced the experience of people with disabilities, their families and their communities over time.

Aging and Adult Services provides a multi-disciplinary system of services and supports for older adults and persons with disabilities to promote quality of life and independence. Funding comes from the federal U.S. and California State governments and the County of Marin

Under the umbrella of the California Health and Human Services Agency, the California Department of Aging (CDA) administers programs that serve older adults, adults with disabilities, family caregivers, and residents in long-term care facilities throughout the State. These programs are funded through the federal Older Americans Act, the Older Californians Act, and through the Medi-Cal program.

May 2016 issue features four articles on "The History of Aging" and essays on U.S.-Cuba relations, teaching thematically as opposed to chronologically, and reflections on forty years in the classroom.
