Library Resources

Although they aren't considered OER, the Library's resources can be used help lower costs for students.

If we don't have a book or article that you need for your classes, let us know (sooner rather than later) and we'll see what we can do about getting a copy.

The Overhead Book Scanner

Overhead Book Scanner

The Library has invested in an overhead book scanner so that you and your students can make clean copies from books, journals, photos, etc.

The scanner has several advantages over flatbed scanner or a traditional copy machine:

  • You can remove the curvature from pages scanned from a book
  • You can include Optical Character Recognition (OCR) so that the scanned material is searchable
  • You can remove your fingers from a scanned image
  • You can email, save to a USB drive, or upload scans to Google Drive
