Adding Web Pages to Mendeley

When you are on a web page you would like to add to your library, look for Mendeley icon in the bookmarks bar of your browser (usually near the URL or to the right). Click that icon to add to your library ‚Äč

IMPORTANT!!! You will see a pop-up window allowing you to edit the entry. ADD author, date accessed, and any other information that might be missing before you save!

 

 

Add Database Articles

Method 1: Save the article and PDF

1. Search for articles on a library database like Iceberg, Environment Complete, Health Source, or ProQuest. 

2. Click on the title of an article you want to save to see the article details. 

3. IMPORTANT - to save the PDF click on the link on the left side of the screen. Save it to your desktop or designated folder. 

4. Click the Mendeley button on the bookmarks toolbar. 

5. When you see the pop-up window, double check the article details to be sure they are correct and then save.

Add the PDF to Mendeley

6. To add the PDF, open the desktop version of Mendeley, and click SYNC. If the PDF is not automatically added, highlight the article info and click Add Files. Find the PDF you saved and attach it. 


Method 2: Download PDF and Add FILE to Mendeley Desktop

1. Search for articles on a library database like Iceberg, Environment Complete, Health Source, or ProQuest. 

2. Click on the title of an article you want to save to see the article details. 

3. IMPORTANT - to save the PDF click on the link on the left side of the screen. Save it to your desktop or designated folder. 

4. Open the Mendeley Desktop version.

5. Click Add Files. Find the PDF you saved and attach it. 

6. Look for the article info at the end of the list. Be sure the info is correct! If not, edit it.
