                                                                    APACHE RESEARCH REPORT

              DIRECTIONS:

The short research paper will be four pages long, double spaced, on a historical subject of choice approved by the instructor.  Papers are to be original work with appropriate footnotes and bibliography.  You can use MLA, APA, or Turabian style but student must note which style is used in your bibliography.  (Recommend Turabian and mandatory workshop by Academic Support and Advising Center).  Papers will be graded for proper citation use, grammar, and spelling.

The paper should be divided into two sections.  In the first section (2 to 4 pages), you should discuss your topic in narrative form and explain its historical importance, addressing such issues as cause and effect.  In the second section (2 to 4 pages), you should explain what you learned about your subject from each of the sources you used, explaining any different points of view expressed and how different media present the same subject matter.
